Receiving the essential rite of Confirmation, when one is anointed with chrism on the forehead and hears the words, 'Be Sealed with the Gift of the Holy Spirit', is a central moment in faith life. When a person is confirmed the full outpouring of the Holy Spirit, given to the apostles on Pentecost, increases and deepens our Baptismal grace.
