In a remote alpine meadow there is a workshop where the gifted artisans of ANRI woodcarvers sculpt heavenly creations. ANRI is a family firm that has preserved the ancient art of woodcarving to produce the worldÆs finest hand carved nativities. The artists of ANRI have designed hand crafted nativities that are unique works of art. Every ANRI figure is a meticulously hand carved sculpture, lovingly fashioned from a single block of alpine maple. Each carving is decorated by artisans who brush on the finest hand mixed oil paints and apply the purest gold and silver leaf. Throughout the artistic process, the techniques used are those that have passed from generation to generation.

Several years ago the artisans of ANRI were invited to study the collection of religious art in the renowned Vatican Library, thus inspiring the creation of the ANRI æHoly LandÆ nativity.

When the ANRI nativity was completed, it was of such outstanding beauty and craftsmanship that the Vatican authorized its sale as a part of the official Vatican Library Collection.
