Saint Florian was a distinguished officer during the early fourth century, in what is now Austria. He was known for his bravery, and according to some sources, it is reasonably certain that he once miraculously saved a town from burning by throwing a single bucket of water on the blaze. After St. Florian openly declared he was a Christian, he was sentenced to death. He bravely died for his faith and became the patron saint of firefighters, chimney sweeps, Austria and Poland. The ideal gift for any firefighters, the Saint Florian pewter statue is a wonderful gift for this holiday season.
Standing at 2.5 inches tall, the Saint Florian pewter statue is the perfect size for a windowsill, desk, or night stand and comes gift boxed for your gift giving convenience.
His feast day is May 4.
