St. Jude

Saint Jude Thaddeus, brother of St. James the Less, was one of the original 12 Apostles of Jesus Christ and is often called the "Saint for the Hopeless and Despaired". He is considered by the Catholic Church to be the author of the Epistle of Jude. He was martyred in Persia in the 1st century. St. Patrick's Guild carries a variety of St. Jude products including a St. Jude medal, a St. Jude statue, St. Jude necklace, St. Jude pendant and St. Jude holy card any of which would be a meaningful gift.

St. Jude is the patron saint of lost causes, desperation, impossible situations and hospitals, a famous one being the St. Jude Cancer Research Hospital in Tennessee. Our Saint Jude statue, St. Jude medal, St. Jude necklace, St. Jude pendant or St. Jude holy card could be given as a spiritual gift to anyone named Jude, one who has a devotion to St. Jude, one who is in the midst of a desperate situation or any of the items would be especially appropriate for a Confirmation candidate taking the Confirmation name of Jude.
