St. Teresa of Calcutta

The name Mother Teresa of Calcutta, also called Saint Teresa of Calcutta, is known world-wide. St. Patrick's Guild carries a variety of Mother Teresa gifts honoring this incredible woman. Our Mother Teresa statue, Mother Teresa medal and Mother Teresa necklace are all meaningful gifts which could be given for any and many occasions.

Born August 26th 1910, Mother Teresa was an Indian Catholic nun who founded the Missionaries of Charity in India in 1950. For the entirety of her adult life, Mother Teresa ministered to the poor, sick, orphaned and dying. She was awarded both the Nobel Peace Prize and the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 1979 and 1985 respectively. Following her death on September 5th 1997, she was beatified by Pope John Paul II and given the title Blessed Teresa of Calcutta. A Mother Teresa medal, Mother Teresa statue or Mother Teresa necklace would be a wonderful religious gift for any special occasion, including First Communion, Reconciliation, Confirmation, Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) or any other holiday.
