St. Therese

Saint Therese of Lisieux, also known as St. Therese of the Child Jesus or "The Little Flower", was a 19th century Carmelite nun. She is well known for her autobiography Story of a Soul and the practice of her "little way" where she found joy in asking God to help her in her smallness and limits. She died in 1897 from tuberculosis. St. Therese is patron of France, those suffering from tuberculosis, gardeners, and of Catholic foreign missions. The Saint Therese gifts offered by St. Patrick's Guild will be wonderful remembrances for anyone who shares her name or for someone who has a particular devotion to Saint Therese. These items include a St. Therese statue, a St. Therese medal or a St. Therese of Lisieux medal.

St. Therese is one of the most popular saints in the Catholic Church and Pope Pius X called her "the greatest saint of modern times". The various St. Therese items, including a St. Therese statue, a St. Therese medal or a St. Therese of Lisieux medal, would also be especially appropriate to give as sacramental gifts especially for a Confirmation candidate taking the Confirmation name of Therese.
