Honor the legacy of St. Clare of Assisi by wearing this medal necklace. Inspired to follow St. Francis of Assisi after hearing one of his sermons, she is remembered for founding the Poor Clares (originally named "The Order of the Poor Ladies"). She strictly followed St. Francis' model of poverty and was the first woman to author a monastic rule for her order. It is called the "Rule of Life." She is the patron saint of modern television, Assisi, the blind, gilders, and glass painters. Her feast day is celebrated on August 11. The St. Clare medal necklace comes with a 18" chain that is rhodium plated. The length of the 18" chain is preferred by most girls, teens, and adult women.

The front of this attractive St. Clare medal on the necklace depicts her praying with flowers, cross and halo. The back of the medal is blank giving you an opportunity to have a date or message engraved. We offer personalized engraving for $9.95. This service includes up to 3 lines with 10 characters on each line (including spaces and punctuation). See below to add engraving to your order and type in your desired engraving text. The St. Clare medal necklace makes a great personalized gift for Confirmation, First Communion or other special occasions.
