St. Ignatius of Loyola is probable best known for establishing the Jesuit order, also known as the Society of Jesus, for which he was the first Superior General and for which he wrote their Constitution. He founded the famous Gregorian College in Rome and spent his life in education and working with the poor. The front of the St. Ignatius prayer pamphlet has an image of St. Ignatius at his writing table while the back of the card has a prayer asking Ignatius to intercede with God to help free the person praying from sin. The St. Ignatius prayer pamphlet is a 2 page pamphlet made in Italy and features world famous Fratelli-Bonello artwork with gold stamped trim. It measures 5-3/8 by 3-1/4 inches so is easy and convenient to carry or use as a bookmark in a prayer book or bible. The inside of the pamphlet contains his biography, his feast day, the meaning of his name and the various areas to which he is considered the patron saint including The Spiritual Exercises which he wrote, Spain, soldiers and the Jesuits. The prayer pamphlet would be appropriate to give to anyone for whom he is the patron saint.
