Art by Kathy Ann Sullivan
Laminated Poster, 26 X 26 inches.

Poster Notes

Using motifs from the Book of Kells, a beautiful illuminated book of the Gospels decorated with intricate Celtic knotwork and symbolic designs, Sullivan presents us with direct and mysterious portraits of Christ and the four evangelists.

Our circle-of-the-year Catholic liturgical calendar begins with the First Sunday of Advent. The Sundays of the year form the outer circle, and each spoke of the wheel represents a week. The seasons are defined by colors. Weekdays of seasons, solemnities, feasts, fast days, and memorials of the saints are noted in place. On the back of each poster for use, general information about the liturgical year, and information about the art and artist. This helpful information is printed in six 8.5 X 11 inch blocks for easy photocopying, so you can conveniently make use of it without having to take your calendar off the wall.
For easiest access you can download this information as a PDF in English or as a PDF in Spanish.
The calendar is great resource for religious education and Rcia and may be used with children and adults.
